Music Frees The Mind
A Charity dance event in the aid of Mind, The mental health charity. All proceeds raised will be going towards Mind to ensure that everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.
Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year but only half of those will access treatment.*. Mind, The Mental Health Charities Mission is to provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They continue to campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.**
Music Frees The Mind chose to bring Music and Mental Health Together due to recent research which found listening to music can have a positive impact on your well being. The research found that listening to music you like releases Dopamine a chemical in the brain that has a key role in setting good moods. ***
